Piano, Violin, and Theory Lessons
Through my teaching, I hope to instill in my students a lifelong love of music and of learning.
I aspire to provide my students with a solid foundation that will equip them to pursue music as a career path or for personal enjoyment. Things that I consider foundational, no matter what instrument is being pursued, include: helping students to understand rhythm, develop solid technique, artistry, ear training, and the ability to read notes. I provide each student with a customized approach based on their age, goals, and interests.
I am happy to answer any questions you have so please feel free to contact me!
Piano lessons
Theory Lessons
I teach private piano lessons for children ages 4 and up and also accept adult students. I am based out of my home studio and provide opportunities for my students to perform locally in recitals as well as other performance opportunities for those interested. Festival participation and/or RCM exams are possibilities for those who wish to further challenge themselves.
I offer theory lessons to prepare students for RCM theory examinations, or for those who simply want a more in depth learning experience.

Violin Lessons
For those desiring to begin their journey of playing the violin I use the Suzuki method. I accept children 3 and up. If you are unfamiliar with this method feel free to click on this link "What is Suzuki" to read about it.
For those who have already begun to explore this instrument, we will devise a personalized plan to achieve your goals. Performance opportunities will be provided including optional participation in local music festivals and optional preparation for RCM examinations.
